Billing Policies

1. Definitions

• “School Year” means the School’s academic year, as set in the Service.
• “School-Year License” means a paid License that covers the School’s full School Year.
• “Monthly Billing” means a paid License charged one month at a time during the School’s active year.
• “Renewal” means the automatic start of a new School-Year License for the next School Year.
• “Payment Method” means the card or other method you give our payment processor.

2. Pricing

• High School: $999 per School Year, or $109 per month.
• Junior High: $499 per School Year, or $55 per month.

3. School-Year License Rules

3.1 A School-Year License covers the School’s full School Year.

3.2 Access continues through the end of the School Year, even if you cancel renewal.

4. Monthly Billing Rules

4.1 Monthly Billing is charged one month at a time during the School’s active year.

4.2 Monthly Billing pauses automatically at the end of that year. Monthly plans do not renew automatically into the next School Year.

4.3 Access continues through the end of each paid month.

5. Pro-Rated Pricing

If a School joins partway through the School Year, the first School-Year payment is:

school-year price × months remaining (counting the current month through the final month of the School Year) ÷ 10.

6. Switching Plans

You may switch between plans from the Billing page. Any unused time on your current plan becomes a credit toward future charges. It is not paid back as a refund.

7. Renewal Rules

7.1 Only School-Year Licenses renew automatically, at the start of the next School Year, at the price in effect at that time.

7.2 You will receive a renewal reminder well before your card is charged.

7.3 Schools may cancel at any time before renewal.

7.4 No refunds after renewal.

8. Cancellation Rules

8.1 Cancel at any time before renewal, from the Billing page.

8.2 School-Year access continues through the end of your School Year. Monthly access continues through the end of the paid month.

8.3 Deleting your Account cancels any active License.

8.4 No partial refunds.

9. Refund Rules

9.1 No refunds for partial School-Year use.

9.2 Refunds are given only for duplicate charges or system errors. Reach us through Ask a question and we’ll make it right.

10. Statutory Exceptions

Nothing in these policies limits any refund or cancellation right that the law gives you and that cannot be waived. Where such a right applies, we will honor it.

11. Taxes

Prices do not include taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any sales, use, or similar taxes that apply. Tax-exempt Schools may send proof of exemption, and we will apply it going forward.

12. Price Changes

We may change prices for future School Years or future monthly periods. We will tell you before a change takes effect. A price change never affects a period you have already paid for. You may cancel before the new price applies.

13. Payment Authorization

By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your Payment Method for the first payment, each monthly payment, and each School-Year License renewal until you cancel. If a payment fails, we will email you. Your yearbook stays safe while you update your Payment Method.

14. Stripe Processor Disclosure

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects and stores your card details under its own privacy policy and security standards. The Yearbook never sees or stores your full card number.

15. Liability Limits

Billing-related liability is limited as described in the Limitation of Liability section of the Terms of Use, and never exceeds the amount your School paid in the 12 months before the claim.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These policies follow the Governing Law and Dispute Resolution sections of the Terms of Use. Please contact us first about any billing concern. Most billing questions can be resolved quickly.

17. Integration with Terms of Use

These Billing Policies are part of the Terms of Use. If they disagree about billing, these Billing Policies apply.
