End of the School Year

The short answer

Your photos and records stay in your account until you delete them. Nothing disappears when the school year ends. You can download everything at any time.

Taking everything with you

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Download my yearbook data for a copy of your records.
3. Choose Download all photos for one ZIP file with every photo.
4. Save both files wherever your school keeps its records.

When your license ends

A School-Year License covers one full year from the day it starts and renews once per year, with a reminder well before your card is charged. Monthly billing is pay-as-you-go and continues until you cancel. If you choose not to renew, download your files first so your school keeps a copy.

Starting the next year

When you renew, your roster, staff, events and past Moments are right where you left them. Update grades and add new names in Students, or import a roster in Settings.

How to correct work or start over

Correct one record

Open the original student, staff member, event, Moment or Story and edit it. Its edit form also lets you remove just that record. Deleted entries, events, staff photos, sports and shared photos from Advisor Review rest in Recently deleted (in Settings) for 14 days, where you can restore them. Students are removed permanently.

Change school details

Change your school name, year or advisor name in Settings. Other saved work is not removed.

Revisit setup

In Settings, choose Replay the Quick tour. Once setup is complete, the final guide screen offers Walk through setup again. Revisiting setup does not clear saved records.

Keep a copy

Use Download my yearbook data and Download all photos in Settings before major changes. Check both files; they are copies, not a one-click restore.

Starting over during a trial

Open Settings → Your account → Your yearbook data. Before purchasing a license, Delete trial data clears trial students, photos, coverage and Moments. Your sign-in and school settings stay, and your trial does not restart. The same deletion window is available on Your trial has ended. Paid accounts do not have a school-only reset; correct individual records at their source instead.

Deleting your account

1. Download my yearbook data and Download all photos in Settings, and check both copies before deleting.
2. Under Your account → Your yearbook data, choose Delete my account.
3. Read what will be removed, then type the saved school name exactly. If no school name is saved, type DELETE.
4. Choose Delete permanently only when you are ready. Keep my yearbook closes the window without deleting anything.

Account deletion removes your sign-in and school work and cancels any active license. Trial-data deletion also requires the saved school name before its final button becomes available.

Can deleted work be recovered?

Deleted entries, events, staff photos, sports and shared photos from Advisor Review can be restored from Recently deleted (in Settings) for 14 days. Deleting your account or trial data is immediate and permanent and cannot be restored through the app. Downloaded records and photos are copies, not a one-click restore. Backups are for system failures, not individual advisor recovery; a permanently deleted photo is gone from everywhere within 28 days.
