Does The Yearbook App create or print our yearbook?

No. The Yearbook App is a workspace for collecting, reviewing and organizing photos, stories and school information. We do not create a yearbook for your school. We do not provide desktop publishing, page layout, book publishing, printing, binding or delivery. You decide which submitted or uploaded materials to use and how to use them, whether for your school-year yearbook or another school project, subject to contributor permissions, school policies and applicable law. If you choose to make a yearbook, you use your own layout tools and your own printing company. Uploading, approving or saving material here does not place it in a finished book or publish it.

The short answer

One flat School-Year License per school, sized by your roster: Small School $449 (up to 500 students) or Large School $899 (over 500 students), covering one full school year from the day you join. Prefer monthly? $49 a month for Small School or $99 a month for Large School, one month at a time, cancel anytime. Not per student, not per photo, not per module.

Choosing a plan

How do I choose?

Choose by the number of students in your yearbook roster — not by grade labels or what your school is called. Schools everywhere organize grades differently, so the plans follow your roster instead.

What is a counted roster?

The active student records in your yearbook roster. It does not include withdrawn or archived students, duplicate records, test records, staff, family members, alumni or other non-student people.

What if our roster changes?

Add, remove and update students freely. Normal changes — new enrollments, transfers, corrections — never interrupt your access.

What if we go over 500 on Small School?

Up to 550, nothing changes — you’ll just see a quiet notice. If your counted roster goes above 550, we’ll ask you to review your roster and choose the plan that fits, with 30 days to resolve it. We never automatically charge you, delete your work, or remove access to your existing records and exports.

What pauses after the 30 days?

You can still view, export and edit everything, and families can keep using sharing links you already sent. Only adding new student records and creating new sharing links pause until the roster is resolved or the plan is upgraded.

Why pricing works this way

A flat school rate means the size of your school never decides who gets remembered. Small schools and large ones pay for the same thing: the promise that every student is remembered.

Common questions

Do families pay?

No. Families upload photos free, always.

Is there a per-student fee?

No. One rate covers your whole school community.

When does it renew?

Only annual School-Year Licenses renew automatically, once a year on the date you started. You will receive a reminder well before your card is charged. Monthly plans simply continue month to month until you cancel. No refunds for partial school-year usage.

Is sales tax included?

Prices shown do not include tax. Sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your school’s location, so your receipt can be a little higher than the listed price.

Can we pay by invoice or school purchase order?

Yes. Many schools can’t pay by card, so we’re glad to work with an invoice or purchase order. Email support@theyearbookapp.com with your school’s name and the plan you’d like, and we’ll arrange payment and set up your access.

What can we export?

Coverage has a spreadsheet download. Settings offers Download my yearbook data for a copy of your records, and Download all photos for one ZIP file of every photo. These are not designed pages, print-ready files or a finished book.

A promise about price

No feature of the mission — coverage, alerts, community uploads — will ever be locked behind a higher tier. Every Student Remembered means every feature too.
