Pick the size that matches your yearbook roster. If your roster grows past 550 students later, we’ll simply ask you to review your plan — your work is never locked or deleted.
- Annual licenses renew on your purchase anniversary; monthly subscriptions renew each month until canceled. Annual renewal reminders arrive before your card is charged.

How pricing works
Annual School-Year License
One payment covers your school for one school year, starting the day you join. It renews once a year on that same date, and you’ll receive a reminder well before your card is charged.
Monthly Billing (Optional)
Monthly billing is a flexible, pay‑as‑you‑go option. You pay one month at a time. You can cancel anytime, and your access continues through the end of the paid month.
Plans follow your roster, not your grade labels
Schools everywhere organize grades differently, so plans are sized by your counted roster — the active students in your yearbook roster. Small School fits up to 500 students; Large School fits more than 500. If your roster grows, normal changes never interrupt your access, and we’ll never charge you automatically because of a roster count.
Questions
- Does The Yearbook App create or print our yearbook?
- No. The Yearbook App is a workspace for collecting, reviewing and organizing photos, stories and school information. We do not create a yearbook for your school. We do not provide desktop publishing, page layout, book publishing, printing, binding or delivery. You decide which submitted or uploaded materials to use and how to use them, whether for your school-year yearbook or another school project, subject to contributor permissions, school policies and applicable law. If you choose to make a yearbook, you use your own layout tools and your own printing company. Uploading, approving or saving material here does not place it in a finished book or publish it.
- How do I choose a plan?
- Choose by the number of students in your yearbook roster — not by grade labels or what your school is called. Small School fits a counted roster of up to 500 students; Large School fits a counted roster of more than 500.
- What is a “counted roster”?
- The active student records in your yearbook roster. It does not include withdrawn or archived students, duplicate records, test records, staff, family members, alumni or other non-student people.
- What if our roster changes during the year?
- Add, remove and update students freely. Normal changes — new enrollments, transfers, corrections — never interrupt your access.
- What if we go over 500 students on the Small School plan?
- Up to 550, nothing changes — you’ll just see a quiet notice. If your counted roster goes above 550, we’ll ask you to review your roster and choose the plan that fits, with 30 days to resolve it. We never automatically charge you, delete your work, or remove access to your existing records and exports.
- When does the annual license renew?
- Once a year, on the date you started it. You will receive a renewal reminder well before your card is charged.
- Is sales tax included?
- Prices shown do not include tax. Sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your school’s location. Schools with a tax exemption can reach out through Ask a question.
- Can we pay by invoice or school purchase order?
- Yes. Many schools can’t pay by card, so we’re glad to work with an invoice or purchase order. Email support@theyearbookapp.com with your school’s name and the plan you’d like, and we’ll arrange payment and set up your access.
- Can we cancel?
- Yes — anytime before renewal.
- Do we lose access if we cancel?
- No. An annual license keeps access through the end of your paid year. Monthly access continues through the end of the paid month.
- Do you offer refunds?
- No refunds for partial school-year usage.
