End of the School Year
What happens to your photos and records when the year ends, and how to take everything with you.
The short answer
Your photos and records stay in your account until you delete them. Nothing disappears when the school year ends. You can download everything at any time.
Taking everything with you
- Open Settings.
- Choose Download my yearbook data for a copy of your records.
- Choose Download all photos for one ZIP file with every photo.
- Save both files wherever your school keeps its records.
When your license ends
A School-Year License covers the full academic year and renews once per year, with a reminder well before your card is charged. Monthly billing is pay-as-you-go and pauses at the end of your active school year. If you choose not to renew, download your files first so your school keeps a copy.
Starting the next year
When you renew, your roster, staff, events and past Moments are right where you left them. Update grades and add new names in Students, or import a roster in Settings.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and data from Settings whenever you like. Deleted data leaves encrypted backups within 30 days.
If something isn’t working
- The photo download is large or slow.
- Use a steady connection and keep the page open until the ZIP file finishes.
- I want to keep last year separate.
- Download your data and photos at the end of each year so you have a dated copy.
