Every Student Remembered.

Student Coverage Explained

How coverage works: seeing who has appeared, and who hasn’t.

What coverage means

Coverage is whether a student appears in your yearbook. Each time you tag a student in a photo, their count goes up. It isn’t a score. It’s a way to see who might be missing.

Why it matters

Some students show up in every photo. Others move quietly through the day and are easy to miss. Coverage helps you notice them while there’s still time.

How it’s counted

  1. A photo is added — by you or by your community.
  2. Students in the photo are tagged.
  3. The photo is approved and saved as a Moment or Story.
  4. Each tagged student’s photo count goes up by one.

You can also mark a student as covered by hand on the Coverage page. Coverage starts at zero for everyone and grows as you go.

What “low coverage” means

A student has low coverage when they appear in fewer photos than your photo goal. The goal starts at 5, and you can change it on the Alerts page. Students with no photos yet are shown first.

How to improve coverage

  1. Open Coverage or Alerts to see who needs more photos.
  2. Ask the adults who see them every day: teachers, counselors, coaches, lunch staff, librarians.
  3. Share your Community Uploads link with families and club advisors.
  4. Photograph smaller clubs, classrooms, and quiet corners of school life.
  5. Tag carefully as photos come in.

Why quiet students matter

A quiet student isn’t a less important one. They’re often in the library, the chess club, the art room, or the back of the bus. Looking for them on purpose is what makes a yearbook fair.

How Moments help

Moments are small, everyday photos. They’re the easiest way to include students who never make the big events.

If something isn’t working

A student I tagged still shows zero.
Make sure the photo was saved, not just reviewed. Community photos count once you choose Add to yearbook as a Moment or Story.
A student is missing from Coverage.
Add them by name in Students, or import a CSV roster in Settings.
The numbers feel overwhelming.
Start with one student who has no photos yet. Progress grows one name at a time.
